Vintage-Look Chandeliers For the Bathroom (Budget-Friendly)

Phase two of the renovation of our 1915 boarding house is underway, which means I have a lot of light fixtures to order. At the top of my list is finding a vintage-look chandelier to go over our original clawfoot bathtub that is being refinished. Finding a vintage-look chandelier on a budget has been a challenge – but we’ve found a few that fit the look we want at a price point that’s more than reasonable.

Note: While code doesn’t technically allow a hanging light fixture over a tub, our 100+ year old tub isn’t designed for regular use. We consider the tub to be more art than appliance.

Our Five Favorite Vintage-Look Chandeliers Under $600

The Morris Lantern

Morris lantern lighting for under $400

I love the geometric lines of this lantern – it makes a statement, without feeling overly fussy or formal. Visual Comfort (my fav!) sells a version of this light that starts at $600, or you can buy this version from a Visual Comfort sister-brand for less than $400.

The Bubble Chandelier

Moment of honesty – this is the most expensive chandelier on our wishlist at nearly $750… but, a comparable bubble fixture would start at $1,500 so we consider this to be a much more budget friendly option. It’s a serious statement piece!

The Traditional Look

Vintage-look french country chandelier under $200

This traditional French Country chandelier mixes the aged brass (love!) with frosted wood beads for a look that is both historic and modern. Plus, it’s under $250!

The Crystal Globe Pendant

These crystal globe pendants are showing up all over my IG and Pinterest feeds – and I’m not surprised! They’re stunning in person, and this one, while petite, is about 1/6 the price of this Arhaus version.

The Flush Mount

Vintage-look flush mount light

This flush mount option provides a lot of look and visual appeal while avoiding common code restrictions of hanging fixtures above a bathtub. And you can’t beat that price point!

I’m not sure you could go wrong with any of these fix options. Each looks way more expensive than it actually is, and provides the perfect mix of vintage and modern.
