Peppermint Cheesecake Milkshake

December 24, 2016 by Ashley

So, the Internet here in Kansas is spotty (read: nonexistent) but I wanted to get this recipe up before Christmas Day… which leaves my phone as the only option for posting. Fingers crossed this syncs up!

This creamy “milkshake” is made with a secret ingredient – cottage cheese! It’s an easy way to get in plenty of protein from “real food” sources rather than supplements. In this holiday version, we’ve spiced things up with a little peppermint extract, but you could easily swap in other flavors, too. Or, if you’re feeling really festive, add in a little peppermint schnapps for a holiday treat without the sugar and fat of a traditional milkshake.

The recipe is so simple. Add the following to a blender and blend until smooth:

1/2c cottage cheese (we use 2% small curd), 1/2c water, 1T sugar free cheesecake pudding mix, 1/4t peppermint extract, a few ice cubes, and Stevia drops to taste.

Want more protein: Add a scoop of whey powder. Easy!
